Brindle Besties Creations takes its name from Meatball and Leona, our two brindle rescue dogs and the faces behind the logo.

Both came to us through the SPCA of Wake County, and both quickly became a huge part of everyday life. Somewhere along the way, they also became part of the business. The name stuck, the logo followed, and Brindle Besties Creations grew around the idea of making things by hand while supporting the animals and rescue groups that matter to us.

Then there is Mary Puppins.

Puppins joined the family through Freedom Ride Rescue. She is not brindle, so technically she cannot claim naming rights, but that has never stopped her from assuming full managerial control. Meatball and Leona may be the Brindle Besties, but Puppins is unquestionably the boss.

All three dogs are rescues, and that matters to us. Their stories are a reminder that good dogs can come from difficult beginnings, and that rescue organizations, foster homes, volunteers, and adopters make second chances possible every day.

That connection is one of the reasons animal rescue remains part of what Brindle Besties Creations stands for. A portion of our proceeds supports rescue work and helps other animals get the opportunity to find the kind of home Meatball, Leona, and Puppins found with us.

The dogs are also very much part of the day-to-day workshop routine. They supervise production, monitor snack breaks, investigate deliveries, and occasionally provide quality control by sleeping directly where someone needs to walk.

So while Brindle Besties Creations is about woodwork, laser engraving, 3D printing, seasonal pieces, and personalized gifts, the name has always meant something more than that.

It is about making things we enjoy, supporting rescue animals, and building a small business around the things that matter to us.

And, naturally, doing all of it under very close canine supervision.
